The HPE Aruba Networking JL659A is a CX 6300M Series access switch that provides forty-eight HPE Smart Rate 1/2.5/5GbE RJ-45 ports with Class 6 PoE (up to 60 W per port) and four SFP56 25/50GbE uplink ports. It is a modern AOS-CX stackable switch designed for high-density campus and branch access where multigigabit endpoints, high-power PoE and high-speed fiber uplinks are required.
This SKU corrects the earlier package error that described JL659A as a CX 6100 24G 4SFP+ switch. The JL659A is a 48-port CX 6300M multigigabit PoE switch, not a 24-port CX 6100. The switch runs the AOS-CX operating system, supports Virtual Switching Framework (VSF) stacking, and delivers robust Layer 3 features, policy-based automation and always-on availability.
Smart Rate ports allow the switch to support a mix of 100MbE, 1GbE, 2.5GbE and 5GbE devices over standard copper cabling, while the four SFP56 uplinks provide 25/50GbE connectivity to the aggregation layer.
