The module adds eight high-speed 1GbE/10GbE SFP+ ports with IEEE 802.1AE MACsec encryption support, protecting traffic between switch ports at line rate.
With MACsec v3, the module provides hardware-based Layer 2 encryption for organizations that require confidentiality and integrity for sensitive high-speed wired traffic. The SFP+ ports accept Aruba and HPE-qualified 1GbE or 10GbE optical or copper transceivers, enabling flexible uplink or edge connectivity within the 5400R zl2 chassis.
